My new bike squeaks. I mentioned it yesterday, but the noise went away so I didn't think any more of it until today when it started making a horrible high pitched noise when I was five minutes away from work. The noise was so bad I didn't dare ride it so I walked it the rest of the way. I even placed the bike upside down to check if I could see anything obvious, took off the tire, then placed it back again.
I have a hunch that the culprit is the front disk break and I really don't know how to fix it without any tools - or more importantly knowledge. I'm taking the bike in to a bike shop before I bike home.
I am getting gators for my tires and I'll be taking a class on how to fix a flat, and slowly but surely I will be acquiring skills on how to maintain a bike.
I'm sorry, but every time I use the word "surely" it makes me think of this. If you haven't seen the movie Airplane!, you should.
It's Friday and I have only one ride planned for the weekend. I'll post the ride with GPS stats since I don't know exactly where we'll be going. It's with Team Wheels.
Edit: I called Gregg's in Bellevue (where I also get my bike porn on) and service said they'd fix it for me. Yeay!
