Rain Jacket - The NeverEnding Story

As I've solidly established in my prior post, the Showers Pass jacket was a bust of epic proportions. If not for nothing, I'm not a quitter, so I bought another jacket - or actually two. One is a cheapo REI brand jacket on SALE and the other is the Sugoi RSE NeoShell Jacket.

Come this weekend, we'll see if these jackets will work out or not. My money's on the cheap one.

It may or may not rain

I will report back on the rain jacket saga as it unfolds. I biked in this morning with the above jacket and I didn't sweat in it - until I reached Whole Foods. I suppose a bike jacket isn't supposed to keep you cool and dry if worn inside after a ride. I'll admit that the only reason I bought the jacket was that it's pretty, and if that's not a good enough reason to buy a rain jacket I don't know what is. It being waterproof clearly isn't a good reason. Can I get bitter for $200, Alex?

But pretty won't help me when it's pouring down, so we shall see.
